To support schools in their re-opening plans, during the week of September 8 – 11, students will commence the school year on a staggered start (except for the DRCSS and Goose Lake High School, which are commencing with a blended approach). Click on the above link for details.

Based on advice from Public Health, play structures on MVSD playgrounds are open! Please note that structures are not regularly cleaned or sanitized. Apply hand sanitizer before and after use of the structure and maintain social distancing of 2 metres between users.

On July 30, the Government of Manitoba released the document Welcoming Our Students Back: Restoring Safe Schools: K-12 Guidelines for September 2020. MVSD is currently reviewing the document, and in the coming days we will release a local plan for our school division based on the directions provided. Prior to entering a school or division building, you will be asked to complete the online screening tool from Shared Health Manitoba. Click on the above link to access the online screening tool.

Free Wi-Fi is now offered in every MVSD community for students who are engaging in online learning! The service is available Mon-Fri from 8 am - 8 pm. Students are asked to remain in their vehicles while working on assignments to abide by social distancing guidelines. Click on the above link for hotspot locations.

Families, please wait until you are contacted by your school and provided with an appointment time before you arrive at the school. All families will be asked to use the COVID-19 Screening Tool from Shared Health Manitoba prior to entering the school building. For full details, please click on the above link.
