We would like to thank the organizing committee at the McCreary Maple Syrup Festival for a fantastic day! We learned how to tap maple trees and the process to make maple syrup. We were able to cook bannock over a fire and make maple taffy over snow. We were treated to horse and wagon rides as well as yummy French Canadian tourtieres. Last, we enjoyed an accomplished performance of the Red River Jig and Hip Hop Jig from the Ivan Flett Memorial Dancers that left everybody smiling and happy.
